UK Reader paraffin69was really looking forward to Lego
Star Wars II for the Cube. He preordered the title from Amazon UK and
was crossing the days off his calendar until the game’s release. Looks
like he may be waiting a little bit longer then he thought. Check out
an automated email he received from Amazon UK just today.
We are sorry to report that the release of the following item has been cancelled:
“Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (GameCube)”
This item has now been cancelled from your order and we can confirm thatyou have not been charged for it.
Ok, now let the obvious speculation begin! You have three choices the way I see it.
1. Amazon UK is completely wrong, and the email was a mistake
2. Lego Star Wars II has indeed been cancelled for the Cube, at least in some territories
3. Lego Star Wars II for the Cube has been scrapped…in favor of a Wii version!
Right
now I am going for choice number 1, and really pulling for choice
number 3. Perhaps a mix of 1 and 3 is in order! Let’s all just keep our
fingers crossed that number 2 doesn’t become the winner. I will see
what I can do to get an official statment on the subject.
I
have checked Amazon UK and there is no listing for a Cube version of
Lego Star Wars II. I have not been able to contact anyone at Travelers
Tales or LucasArts as of this time.
