June 26, 2006 - Ratchet and Clank have as of yet been Playstation 2 exclusives, but are looking to make their way to the playstation portable with Size Matters. The game is brought to you by High Impact Games, which is not the original developers, but from what has been shown by them; it looks to be in capable hands.
The story places Ratchet and Clank on their much needed and much deserved vacation, when a girl becomes kidnapped. Ratchet and Clank drop the vacation and take to the world in search of the girl. A race known as the Technomites, a group of genius inventors are discovered along the way. The plot, from here on out, takes a turn for the worst as time goes on.
As in previous version you can expect Clank to return with new and improved gameplay allowing you to take your mini companion and complete areas inaccessible by Ratchet. The controls are similar to the Playstation 2 in that you can strafe lock on and dodge enemies with precision using a combination of both the D-Pad and Analog stick. The graphics look surprisingly like the Playstation 2 as well so you won't be missing out on the little things in each level and will feel right at home destroying robot upon robot.
Most of the old weaponry will be reappearing, such weapons as the Shocker, Agents of Doom and Shrink Ray, along with a group of new ones. Armor is where the game has made a major improvement allowing players to now customize just about every aspect of what Ratchet is wearing. Who can forget the vehicles the franchises offers, with a variety of new and old you will be able to compete in races and combat enemies in intense battlefield missions.
With the abilities of the PSP you can also play with up to 4 people in a head-to-head action packed multiplayer experience. Not to mention using the Wi-Fi connection to play with anyone no matter how far away they may be. You can expect to get your hands on Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters in spring of 2007. |
